LEADERSHIP STANDARDS
COMMUNICATION
-I used standard 2, Standard 2 is Interviewing skills. I used this skill and standard while being interviewed for a a job for a tumbling coach. I was not only able to answer questions confidently, but I was also able to ask questions. I was able to prepare for this interview by showing up with any questions I had about how the job is supposed to work or if there was a certain protocol that I must follow. I know that I could have improved on researching more about the job before I was interviewed but now I know for next time.
PERSONAL + SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
-For me, leadership development day was a day that taught me how to help each student feel comfortable and safe on campus. I also learned how to get people involved on compus and make our school a more welcoming environment.
CIVIC + SERVICE LEARNING
-For civic and service learning, I coached a cheer clinic for girls under a high school grade level. This helped little girls become more comfortable trying a new sport, step out of their comfort zone, and help them learn how to work together with people they don't know.
GOVERNMENT
-For government, I was the junior class secretary. This means that when we would have junior class meetings, I was in charge of minutes. I would take attendance, notes, and write down the date and time of our junior class meetings.
BUSINESS + FINANCE
-I used standard 3 which is marketing. I used marketing because I raised a pig for the New J 4H club. I then sold my pig at an auction where people could put bids on the pig while I was showing it. I sold my pig for $13 a pound and a certain amount of the money goes back to the club and then I get the rest.
TECHNOLOGY + DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP
-I used technology and digital citizenship by creating this website. This took a lot of patience, details, and planning. I spent a long time on this and worked very hard.
